Krish Mehta

Krish witnessed the devastating impact of climate change on rural communities in India and vowed to make lowering CO2 emissions his life's mission. Krish was a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, with an MBA and Masters from Stanford. Previously Krish worked at Tesla and McKinsey, and studied finance at Wharton. Krish is an Activate Fellow and featured in Forbes 30 Under 30.

Jorge Osio-Norgaard

Jorge is a cement chemist with 12 years of experience working on various cementitious systems. His work on cement has focused on decarbonization working with SCMs, Alkali Activated Materials, and other novel cementitious binders. He was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, GAANN fellow, and an ASEE eFellow.

Monica Barney

Monica is a materials scientist with decades of experience in advanced characterization, corrosion science, and bioprocessing. She has worked across industries—from energy to biotech—developing patented analytical methods and scaling operations from lab to pilot scale. Monica holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from UC Berkeley and is passionate about bridging science and manufacturing to drive innovation.

Maryam Pirmoradi

Maryam is a chemical engineer with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and a background in decarbonization technologies. She has led projects in catalyst development, process optimization, and scale-up, with a focus on reducing the carbon footprint of industrial processes. Her work spans both academic and startup environments, where she has helped translate research into scalable, real-world solutions. Outside of work, she’s passionate about travel, backpacking, and strength training.
